HatchFrac: A fast open-source DFN modeling software

چکیده
This paper introduces a comprehensive C++ software package, HatchFrac, for stochastic modeling of fracture networks in two and three dimensions. The inverse cumulative distribution function (CDF) acceptance–rejection methods are applied to generate random variables from the distributions commonly used discrete network (DFN) modeling. multilayer perceptron (MLP) machine learning approach, combined with CDF method, generates following any sampling distribution. We extend Newman–Ziff algorithm determine clusters make code faster. When block coding efficiency is further enhanced. T-type intersections by simulating growth process, which can be applications involving or incorporating geomechanics. Three HatchFrac introduced demonstrate versatility our software: percolation analysis, intensity flow connectivity analysis.

Open Source Software Development Process Modeling
This chapter draws attention to software process modeling for open source software development. It proposes a three-layered open source software development process model. Its ‘definitional’ and ‘generic’ levels specify the common features of all fully-fledged open source projects. Its ‘specific’ level allows to describe fine-grained process model fragments characteristic of different open sour...
متن کاملDiscovering and Modeling Open Source Software Processes
Open source software (OSS) development has been shown effective as a software development paradigm. In over twenty years since its origin, we have learned a lot about its culture and motivations. Yet despite great interest in its lessons for process improvement, understanding, and participation among corporations, researchers, and would-be participants, few have actually sought to discover and ...
متن کاملModeling Practices in Open Source Software
It is widely accepted that modeling in software engineering increases productivity and results in better code quality. Yet, modeling adoption remains low. The open source community, in particular, remains almost entirely code centric. In this paper, we explore the reasons behind such limited adoption of modeling practices among open source developers. We highlight characteristics of modeling to...
متن کاملModeling the Free/Open Source Software Community: A Quantitative Investigation
This chapter reports the latest results from an ongoing study of Free/Open Source Software (F/OSS) Development at the community level. Publicly available data about F/OSS projects, developers, processes, and their relationships have been collected from F/OSS hosting sites, including SourceForge and others. Numerous descriptive statistics, including the existence of many power-law relationships,...
متن کاملA Robust Open Source Exchange for Open Source Software Development
This paper addresses the development of mechanisms for the creation of OSSD exchanges that could be used by developers across any geographical range, as long as all the developers can interact via some open network infrastructure such as the Internet. The structure of these exchanges can range from public repositories such as Sourceforge.net to intra-organizational forums for software developme...
